On March 1 three years ago I said goodbye to our beloved Ruben😭 A 92 lb goof that was a combination of our poodles of the past 20 years. It means so much to have his daughter Grace who reminds us daily of his antics and adds more than a few of her own. So when she presented us with Rubles/Bentley (and 9 other beauties) a big brown boy just like grandpa we were ecstatic!! I was thrilled when Mary and Doug picked him as we will see him often and he gets to live with his Aunt Amy Farrah/Savannah who looks exactly like his mom! He ( and several brothers) are on their way to being SUPERSIZED as they are 32 lbs at 13 weeks! Ruben was 40 lbs at 16 weeks and 52 lbs at 5 months! Gentle giants who have NO IDEA how big they are😀

Adorable Dave/Remy is doing a great job at mending his families broken heart. I knew he would, nothing helps fill the black burning pain of loss like a new baby to concentrate on. It doesn’t take it away the pain, it just allows a different ( positive, loving)focus❤️ We will get Dave/Remy for 2 weeks in April while his family goes to Florida. We are so excited to get some extra time with him😘

Harlee and the girls enjoying the 40 degree weather! Her dad Bill has a fish shanty in the channel so Harlee walks out to visit him and take him lunch. She takes Rene and Dottie (turns) for protection ( never know where the creeps hang out, yes I’m paranoid ) and NO ONE would be able to bother her with her poodle companion on duty. When Reba had her brace I had bought rubber boots ( kind of like a thick balloon called PAWZ) to keep the snow from packing in around her foot. We’d only used a few of the 12 pack so we put them on the girls and they worked great, lighter that a boot so they didn’t seem to mind. Kept their feet dry☺️ Life is good.

Patti Sue is doing good. She’s wagged non stop since she returned home, I think she thought we were leaving her there ( that’s why I go get them the second they can go home) She’s eating good and doesn’t seem to be bothered by her stitches. He took quite a chunk out, I told him to make sure he got it all, if they miss ONE CELL it will come back😭 I can’t have that!!

Yesterday while giving the girls baths and haircuts I discovered a lump by one of Patti Sue’s nipples. Having some experience with this (sadly) I was pretty sure it was breast cancer. A trip to the vet confirmed my fears and surgery was scheduled for this morning. When Tootsie was ten she had a lump removed and it never returned ( she lived five more years) Lily (also ten) wasn’t so lucky after each surgery it came back worse. So where I am totally freaked, I’m also optimistic that he will get every cell and that will be the end of it. The vet laughed when I said I’d be molesting her daily from now on😕 I can’t stand the thought of losing my precious sweet Patti😭

There must be cuteness overload at the Hibbard house with these two and our York ( Parris and Ruben baby now 10 years old) Rupee/ Barney was 28.7 lbs at 12 weeks!! He’s on his way to being 90 lbs like grandpa Ruben!! Peso/Ru just weighed in at 32 lbs (13 weeks) WE LIKE THEM BIG and unique colors and this time we got both!! We can’t wait for more of these babies this fall!!

Both Jay/Teddy (Hocus POCUS litter of Rosalie and Dennis) and Lira (Grace and Dennis baby girl I co-own with Missy for future babies) live close to me so I got them together today for a play date. Harlee was SO happy school was closed so she got to enjoy a day with both both😀of them. Did they ever have a good time and went home very tired😀 I had a twinge of regret for not keeping Lira myself, she is delightful and so much like her silly mom ( and grandpa Ruben) but her family adores her ( she has two kids) and I can see her often ( she goes to work with Missy who works with Harlees dad Bill) I SO WANT a brindle girl, this way I get both😀

omg those eyebrows!! He is so darn cute. He and his uncle Martin/Knox are best buddies ( now that Knox has decided he’s staying haha) sometimes it takes a few days for the realization the baby is staying, but once it sinks in they are happy to have a companion😀 The all time record for refusal to accept was Niles ( not ours) when they picked up Christine/Nora he wouldn’t even LOOK at his parents, the entire ride home ( 3 hours) he looked out the window ( like an upset person) for a month he ignored her ( I kept telling them HE WILL😳 Although I was getting concerned, I think the previous record was 2 weeks) FINALLY they became best friends😍 Dogs are pack animals they are happier when there is another dog, they have everything, people who love them and a pack😘

I’ve been making holiday boa’s and sending them as thank you’s for holiday gifts. Priya/ Kiki (BIG BANG BABY) and Reba/Ava (Counrty singers baby) are modeling theirs😀 What pretty girls!!

A beautiful Rosalie and Dennis baby from the HOCUS POCUS LITTER Dani/Nellie. I expect her to keep her distinct color like her Aunt Izzie, the phantoms are so unique ( we love unique) more babies like her April/May!! Mindy’s hoping they will be settled into a new house so she can keep a Dani of her own 😊 And have mom baby and grandma😘
