Poor girl, I’m dragging her every where! First moms often lose their first few babies so I don’t risk it.
She likes to go, but may prefer not to being so uncomfortable with that big belly. We go get Harlee at the bus stop a few days a week, they love the extra car ride! I must say being on baby watch is murder (for both of us I’m sure) especially with the big weekend ahead of us!
Dottie’s babies doing great. All gained almost a pound their first week! They are little butterballs!! We love fat healthy babies!!

Gracie begs to see the babies. She stares at me like Patti used to when she wanted to visit somebody’s babies. Sadly I’m pretty sure she doesn’t have any babies. Years ago this same thing happened to Parris. First half of pregnancy seemed fine then suddenly she didn’t seem pregnant any more. We took her to Michigan State and she had a cyst that alter her hormonal balance once treated she went on to have wonderful healthy babies (including Graces grandpa Beemer). Once Rene has her babies we will start the process of getting to her issue so we’re ready for her next heat.

We bottle feed to make sure everybody gets enough to eat and extra puppy handling. Even before their eyes are open they crawl over to be fed. Early on they associate people with food 😀 and since they’ve never been hungry have no food issues. It’s an important part of early bonding, it’s worth the extra time and effort. PLUS we like doing it!!
Anxiously waiting to meet Rene’s babies!

While loving up the babies Harlee said “oh, I’ve missed this”. I couldn’t agree more! These are our first babies all year! We are anxiously waiting for Rene to show us who she has. I hope she waits the reunion is Saturday :0

Holy cow!! Just ten days to go until we get our next batch of precious babies!! I can’t wait till it’s over, I just hate first litters. If you’re not right there the first few babies die. The mom has no clue what the baby is, it lays there unattended and suffocates. Consequently it’s a long few days with the mom never out of our sight. It’s a huge relief when the babies arrive safely!! With Dottie in the nursery Rene’s babies will be born in my bathroom :).

LOOK who went to Poodle day in Carmel! Loretta/Lola big sister to the babies we have now! It looks like so much fun!! I saw other posts and everybody has their poodle all decked out!! One week till our reunion!! Looks like rain and 50’s so I hope that doesn’t keep people away. rain or shine we’ll be there!!

Adorable Dennis! Geez this pup is just so cute! We are really going to miss him. The girls have enjoyed the antics of a baby 😀 PUPS are doing great! Dottie has a fit when we leave her to go to the park. She can go next week. THIS week she has to stay with her babies!

It was a long night but everyone is wonderfully healthy and PERFECT! 4 boys, 6 girls two black (Dottie and Waylon)and white parti EIGHT RED AND WHITE PARTI (Hank, Toby, Luke, Miranda, Patsy, Bonnie, Tanya and JoDee)!! Our country singers!! Grace pleads with me to go see them. Patti used to do that. She has managed to SLIP in a few times, Dottie gives her a dirty look low growl. Grace doesn’t seem to notice she is memorized by those wiggling bodies. When I show her one she gives it a big kiss 😀
Next up RENE!! I can’t wait to see who she has!!

Finally the day has arrived for babies!! The waiting is murder! I can’t wait to see who we get!! I like day babies but looks like I’m not going to get my wish. No matter, I’ve been up all night lots of times. It’s worth it!!! Watch Face Book I’ll post our news there!

The girls play with Dennis but they get exuberant and he runs for cover haha. Such a silly boy, how we have enjoyed his company. He will be off to his new home after the fall reunion. He’ll be living with Gracie’s sister Doris/Shelby by Petosky!!
