August 13, 2014 Running out of summer

IMG_1889.JPGThe girls LOVE the water! ALL of them! I really enjoy watching them dive and swim 🙂 Gracie cracks me up, she lands right on the ball :). She is so delightfully silly! She has started her heat so next week we will go visit Horace for the second time. I really hope she has babies this time so many disappointed people ( including me) last time 😥 I KNOW she had babies! huge appetite for first month then suddenly not interested in food. Dogs don’t miscarry like people, the babies are absorbed, they simply go away. Parris did this twice we took her to Michigan state vet school and they found a cyst on her ovary that caused her to lose the babies, once treated she went on to have wonderful babies!! We have lots of deposits so I’m not taking any more for the Dottie and Grace babies until we see who we get. So exciting we can’t wait! DENNIS comes Friday we can’t wait to meet him!! Will be so fun having a baby again!!

August 11, 2014 WE FOUND DENNIS!

Meet DENNIS

Meet DENNIS

Finally! WOW what a grueling process! I wanted a unique boy and I think I found him. Brindle (his mom is below). How come nobody has any grand parents? How come nobody keeps their own pups? How come nobody posts pictures of their babies where they sleep/eat/play? Buying a baby from these people seems so risky!! Their adults arn’t groomed and their tails are down. Don’t they know all that matters?? I guess I was looking for a puppy from ME 😀 but I sure didn’t find anybody who does what we do!! I’m so glad we are unique in the treatment of our beloved adults and our babies! In my selection of Dennis I talked to a lady who had two of this breeders pups, older full siblings to Dennis. I was glad she was so happy with her dogs and the lady she got them from. I’ll be looking for a partner home for him (although I’d love to keep him) he’ll be here FRIDAY!!

Roman and Oliver!

Roman and Oliver!

Cassanova/Roman (Francis and Beau baby) and Aiden/Oliver (Patti Sue and Ruben) He loves his blanket, wouldn’t put it down for the picture haha!! Such wonderful puppies we’ve had. These wonderful dogs have touched so many lives, especially mine! I really enjoy seeing them and the families that love them SO MUCH!! The search continues for DENNIS!! It takes an act of God to get current pictures of these pups. What’s the secret anyway? No wonder everybody loves our daily photos!!! I would appreciate seeing the baby doing something other than being held in a stand or sit!!!

August 7, 2014 Rene & Wally

New babies October 6, 2014

New babies October 6, 2014

Well if all goes well we will have adorable babies from Rene and Wally the first week of October (terribly close to the park reunion) I expect the same colors Dottie and Wally will have have the girls have the same dad Elliot. The theme for this litter will be Royality! I have begun my search for a new stud muffin and co-owner. I’d like the most unique boy I can find. Brindle, sable or phantom. Harlee has picked out a name and I love it: DENNIS!

August 6, 2014 Rosalie

On our way to Lansing!

On our way to Lansing!

Well one thing is for certain in the puppy making business, your plans don’t always work out :0 Rosalie and I headed to Lansing to meet Doc. With Rene and Dottie having Wally babies I wanted some other color choices with Rosalie (brown). I prefer Jack but with no babies the last two tries I have to assume he’s shooting blanks and explore other options. I liked Doc’s size, personality and color and since Rosalie’s mother is phantom we’d get some of those too YEAH! However at the last minute they wanted an additional $500 for stud fee (this is not the first time this has happen to me) so we packed up and came home. I can’t do business with people I can’t trust. Simple as that so we will have wonderful Wally and Horace babies! I’ll be looking for a unique baby boy with some brown in his family tree (to co-own with someone)! So I am not at the mercy of others.
Where we going?

Where we going?

August 5, 2014 The girls :D

Did you hear the PONTOON??

Did you hear the PONTOON??

The pontoon hasn’t run right for three summers! We have it in DOZENS of times and it continues to spit and sputter GRRR you’d think the experts could figure it out! Tom started it up to take it in once again and the girls raced to the window! They know that sound! No ride today girls!! 😦

August 3, 2014 I’m harping on processed food AGAIN!

Yesterday on FB I POSTED A LINK TO AN ARTICLE ON CORN THAT SHOCKED ME! It stated that the corn damaged by weather and moldy went into dog food!! dogs naturally CORNHorrified I looked up Aflatoxins and mycotoxins and found what I believe to be the reason for shorter lifespans for our beloved pets!! My first poodles were 14-15 years old, not any more ( maybe again since I don’t feed them processed foods). Young dogs are getting cancer, I see so many posts on FB that break my heart. Sadly dog food companies are NOT required to accurately reveal what is in their products! SO even if you pay big bucks for your dog food you can not be sure it is safe for your beloved pet!!
FROM THE MEDLINE PLUS WEBSITE:
Aflatoxins are toxins produced by a mold that grows in nuts, seeds, and legumes.

Function
Although aflatoxins are known to cause cancer in animals, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allows them at low levels in nuts, seeds, and legumes because they are considered “unavoidable contaminants.”

The FDA believes occasionally eating small amounts of aflatoxin poses little risk over a lifetime. It is not practical to attempt to remove aflatoxin from food products in order to make them safer.

Food Sources
The mold that produces aflatoxin may be found in the following foods:

Peanuts and peanut butter
Tree nuts such as pecans
Corn
Wheat
Oil seeds such as cottonseed

And I found this on mold AKA mycotoxinsmycotoxinsNO wonder so many dogs are getting cancer, what is ACCEPTABLE to the government is NOT ACCEPTABLE TO ME!! PLEASE DO SOME RESEARCH, don’t trust your heart and the health of your pet to others, cook or feed your dog raw.
