I love seeing Elliot! He is so darn cute! I’m so glad we have two of his babies Dottie and Rene! He has the cutest personality and he sure loves his family! Leigh wanted an ELLIOT mailbox so I made her one!! I looked at the thousand pictures I have at him so his spots match haha!! Turned out so cute, cant wait to see it UP!!

Another fun sleepover. The park is so peaceful we just love it there! The dogs have SO much fun. I started eight of my poodle sculptures. I wasn’t going to do anymore they are so time consuming but actually while we’re at the park I’m not doing anything but watching our old movies so what the heck 😀 Keeps me busy.

Those Dottie pups are just so sweet. Like her they need to cuddle. She is just SO loving like her dad Elliot! and grandma Jazz. Got her smarts too! I so enjoy my many generations of poodles. I see all my beloved pets rolled into one. I often wonder why so FEW “breeders” (not me were enthuiasts, maybe that’s the difference)don’t build on their dogs, you miss SO much not knowing the family. Not just health but personality. My FAVORITE thing is people come back and get a pup related to the beloved poodle they had 20 years ago. We actually had a pup go to a family that had one of our first puppies. The mom was a little girl when her family got a puppy from our first litter. She was SO HAPPY to get a baby related to her childhood pet! THAT makes US happy too!

When the kids were little I’d make them animal pancakes (which they loved). I have LOTS of experience with poodle pancakes 😀 Harlee squealed with delight when she saw it ha ha. She thinks I can do anything 😀 I let her think that. WE had a fun sleepover. We woke up to rain so we didn’t stay. We ate, cleaned up and came home after watching TREMORS (gotta love Kevin Bacon).

When we spend the night at the park we like to do crafts while we watch our fun old monster/sci-fi movies 😀 Harlee had collected some of my scrap wood and fashioned it into a Francis sculpture. I did minimal trimming and sanding and air nailed it together for her and she proudly painted her. I hope the wood Francis helps relieve how much she misses the real Francis. Francis loved Harlee more than anybody. Turned inside out when Harlee would come and never left her side the entire visit. If Harlee left and Francis didn’t see her go she would BEG to go to her room. I’d have to prove to her Harlee was not in there. We adore all our pets but the sudden loss of Francis was especially hard. We speak of her every day and look to the clouds to see if she’s looking over us. We miss her every day, ALL day 😥

Goofy girls haha. Our favorite store is the dollar store so full of stupid stuff kids love!! She got hours of entertainment out of these mustaches (me too) she wore them to the store and you could see everybody got a chuckle.

I’m so glad that out of seven poodles only Reba is bothered by fire works (and I don’t think she can hear them very well). My moms old girls (carin terrier and sheltie) are terrified, poor things. I still go over to my moms daily to prepare their food etc. She’s doing better but will need to go to assisted living before winter sets in (maybe a place she can have one dog). Getting old sucks. I wonder what the point of living healthy is really, so you can die alone in a nursing home surrounded by lonely strangers. She’s sharp as a tack, she won’t like being there maybe having her dog will help.

Happy Holiday!! Isn’t Amy Farrah/Savannah ADORABLE! She and Gracie look identical! Wow half the year (and summer) gone already! Much cooler which the dogs like. We can play longer at the park!
Harlee will be back tomorrow for three days. We should sleep over at the park to get away from the noise but the lake has a HUGE (better than most towns) fireworks display that she won’t want to miss. Hundreds of pontoons park and watch them overhead, everybody gets a front row seat! I usually stay home with the dogs (Reba is the only one visibly bothered) I can see all I want to see from the deck. Frankly an hour is too long and I find myself wishing it was OVER! 🙂 (the worst part is I’m struggling to stay awake).

My sweetie Parris! What a cutie she is and has always been. Ruben used to carry her around by her sweater her little legs swinging. Looking back makes me happy/sad. I’m so glad I had the honor of knowing these wonderful companions!! I’ve been busy making mail boxes. They are fun to do and I’ve been thinking of other variations! We are loving this cooler weather. We can stay at the park longer without roasting!!
